KARACHI (Dunya News) – The affidavit filed by the Sindh Police Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Haider Jamali in the Sindh High Court (SHC) is reportedly a cover-up as the officers who were said to be suspended are still on posts.
The IG had ordered Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Chaudhry Asad to report to the Central Police Office after removing him from the post. However, SSP South is performing duty in the Central Zone.
The Special Security Unit (SSU) personnel who tortured journalists and disobeyed the SHC orders are also still in service. The Sindh Police had filed an affidavit in the court stating that the SSU officials have been suspended.
