ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government wants to conduct national affairs with consensus and understanding with parties of the country.
He expressed these views while delivering an introductory speech to kickoff the All Parties Conference (APC) called to discuss the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route.
He said that the politicians have learnt lessons from the mistakes made in the past. PM Nawaz said that Pakistan and China share a special relation.
The PM said that catching the culprits responsible for Safoora massacre is a great achievement and the credit goes to the Sindh government. He congratulated Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah over the progress in the matter.
The PM said that the political framework of the country is being strengthened. Pakistan and China share a special relation, he added. Nawaz said that historic foreign investment agreements have been signed between the two countries.
Nawaz said that Pakistan should also send a message to China that the people of the country are on same page with the mega project. He said that the project would prove to be a milestone not for the country but for the entire region.
PM Nawaz said that the political leaders reserve their right to disagree and show reservations over any aspect of the CPEC. The government is open to criticism but it should be constructive, he added. Nawaz said that the reservations of the parties would be cleared with logic.
