KARACHI (Dunya News) – Minister for information and local body Sharjeel Memon said on Saturday that the policemen involved in torture on media representatives outside Sindh High Court, will face strict legal action. Sharjeel Memon asked Inspector General (IG) police and Additional Inspector General (IG) Sindh to take prompt action against the culprits.
Sharjeel Memon said that nothing restricting the freedom of media will be endured. He said that free media is symbol of democracy and Pakistan People’s Party is Pakistan biggest democratic party that has gave so many sacrifices for democracy. He assured media persons and victims of the police torture that they will get justice and proper action will be taken without any discrimination.
