(Web Desk) – At least 39 children were injured when roof of a private school collapsed on Muzaffargarh Road in Multan today (Saturday).
According to police, the incident took place in Basti Aliwala.

Nine children who got severely injured in the incident were rushed to Nishtar Hospital where two of them are said to be in critical condition.
Meanwhile, police arrived at the scene and took the school principal into custody.

Angry mob including locals and relatives surrounded the police van and hurled stones at the vehicle. They demanded that school principal should be handed over to them however the police managed to evacuate him safely.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and sought a report from Secretary Education in this regard.
He also directed for providing best possible medical facilities to the injured.
