LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) employees’ four days sit-in ended on Thursday in Lahore. Employees were protesting against the privatization of LESCO. The employees persistently continued their sit-in for four days outside the main gate of LESCO head office where the LESCO officials and the Privatization Commission officials were going to hold a meeting to discuss the process of privatization.
The officials tried to hold the meeting on a secret place on Tuesday but protesting employees reached there as well and made the effort unsuccessful. Protestors ended the sit-in satisfied and said that they will make every effort of privatization in future unsuccessful.
