Summary PM criticized Sindh's Home Department for not implementing NAP in its spirit
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A high level meeting headed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and attended by key political and military leaders took place at governor house in Karachi. The participants reviewed crucial aspects of the attack including possibility of involvement of foreign elements.
According to details, PM Nawaz arrived in Karachi on a crucial trip after attack on Ismaili community in the metropolis that left 44 dead and dozens injured.
Prime Minister said that National Action Plan (NAP) has not been fully implemented. He criticized Sindh’s Home Department for not implementing NAP in its full spirit.
Briefing on the occasion, Director General (DG) Rangers said that there could be several motives behind attack on the Ismaili community. He said that the theory of foreign involvement cannot be ruled out.
Prime Minister directed to immediately arrest of the culprits behind the attack. The meeting was attended by Federal Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad, Corps Commander Karachi and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah.
