ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed strongly condemn the attack on bus in Karachi today (Wednesday) and expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in the heinous incident, Dunya News reported.
While talking to media, he asked the religious scholars to speak against such perpetrators who target innocent and peaceful people and also urged politicians, Ulema, intellectuals and civil society members to demonstrate unity against them.
Pervaiz Rasheed said that the targeted Ismaili community is the most peaceful one and is always engaged in social welfare whereas they have also played a positive role in the economy of Pakistan through trade.
He termed the people as educated who diligently serve Pakistan and oblige by the law.
He also said that architects of such barbaric acts who kill innocents are the enemies of Pakistan and Islam.
Furthermore, he also stated that such incidents of brutality cannot weaken nation’s resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country and vowed to continue the operation till the last terrorist meet its end.
At least 43 people werer killed and more than 10 injured when suspected terrorists on motorcycles opened fire on a bus near Safoora Chowrangi in Karachi on Wednesday.
All the passengers were from the Ismaili community.
