Summary Rafique Rajwana took oath today at the Governor House from CJ Lahore High Court

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Malik Rafique Rajwana has on Sunday taken the oath as 36th governor of Punjab from Chief Justice Lahore High Court Manzoor Ahmed Malik, reported Dunya News.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, honorable judges, ministers, senators and other political figures and executives.

Thanking Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif after becoming the governor of Punjab, Rafique Rajwana said that he would work for the betterment of the people of South Punjab and the party workers.

Governor said that the government was doing an excellent job for the eradication of load shedding, elimination of terrorism and improvement of educational and health facilities. He said that his appointment was a good sign for the South Punjab. “Though I am governor but I will be under the command of party president and secretary general”, Rajwana said.

After taking the oath, Rafique Rajwana visited the shrine of Daata Ali Hajveri (R.A.A) and prayed at the tomb of the great saint of Lahore.
