Summary At least two DSPs have been gunned down in Karachi during the past one week
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Zulfiqar Zaidi has been gunned down along with his guard at Shah Faisal Colony area of Karachi. Slain DSP was High Court’s Security Incharge.
According to details, DSP Zaidi was sitting in a hotel at Shah Faisal Colony when unidentified gunmen opened fire at them. Zaidi and his guard were killed as a result.
A citizen was also injured in the firing. According to the police source, DSP Zaidi had come to the hotel to meet someone when two unidentified gunmen stormed in and killed him.
The attackers took advantage of the stampede as a result and succeeded in running off. At least two DSPs have been gunned down in separate incidents in Karachi during the past one week.
DSP Abdul Fateh Muhammad was gunned down last week by unidentified gunmen at Gulshan Hadid area.
Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif have taken notice of the incident and has directed to increase security of the metropolis whereas Sindh High Court (SHC) while taking suo moto notice have summoned report on Monday.
