KARACHI (Dunya News) -- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday demanded that the water system in Karachi be handed to Rangers in the wake of worsening water shortage in the metropolitan, Dunya News reported.

Addressing a press conference, PTI lawmaker Dr Arif Alvi said that people of a specific party are recruited in Water and Sewerage Board.

He said that common people are not getting water to even drink because of the lack of seriousness of the government.

PTI leaders said that Sindh has funds to build a lavish assembly building but not for projects to ensure water supply to the common people.

They said government’s non-serious attitude is the cause of worsening of the situation.
