Air Chief Marshal Sohail Amin said that the helicopter was on a routine flight in Niltar valley when it got out of control due to technical reasons.
He said that the pilots of MI-17 possessed high professional expertise adding that the pilots had risked their own lives to save the lives of other people.
South African High Commissioner, who was present in the helicopter at the time of the crash, said that the unfortunate incident could happen in any part of the world.
Talking about the helicopter accident, he said that the helicopter went up and down several times before crashing.
The South African High Commissioner said that it was a miracle that people had survived the helicopter crash.
