Summary PTI chairman is not interesting in submitting reply in the case, says plaintiff's counsel

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Sessions Court on Saturday has granted a last chance to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to submit reply in defamation suit and compensation claim until May 16.
Sessions Court Judge Tanvir Meer held hearing of the case filed by former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) against PTI chairman. Assistant of Khan’s counsel Babar Awan, Khawar Ali Meer filed a plea in the court stating that the Sessions Court is not authorised to hold hearing of any compensation claim which is more than Rs 20 crore.

He expressed resentment over the plaintiff’s counsel for not submitting court dues of the case.

However, ex-CJP’s counsel Sheikh Ahsanuddin said that the defense counsel is repeatedly filing pleas regarding court’s jurisdiction whereas the court has already given verdict over the issue.

Plaintiff’s counsel Taufeeq Asif said that PTI chairman is not interesting in submitting reply in the case.
The court ordered Khan to submit reply until May 16.
