Summary President Mamnoon Hussain will hold a state banquet in the honour of visiting dignitary.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Maldives President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on the invitation of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will pay a two-day state visit to Pakistan from Wednesday , Dunya News reported on Monday.

According to Foreign Office (FO) spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom will hold talks with President Mamnoon Hussain and PM Nawaz.

President Mamnoon Hussain will hold a state banquet in the honour of visiting dignitary.

During the visit, Pakistan and Maldives will review all important aspects of their bilateral relations.

The spokeswoman also stated that a number of documents on cooperation in health, education, illicit drugs, narcotics trafficking and sports will be signed between both the countries.

Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Maldives and enjoys close and cordial relations based on mutual trust, common faith and understanding.

The two countries have been actively cooperating with each other at the regional level and at the multilateral fora.
