Summary Statements against any institution of the country are against the Article 6, says PTI's Samar Ali

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) parliamentary leader Syed Sardar Ahmed on Monday has said that numerous attempts have been made in the past to destroy MQM. Several parties are after the fall of MQM, he added.

He expressed these views while talking to the media outside the Sindh Assembly session.

He said that MQM leaders are in contact with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) over the resolution against MQM chief Altaf Hussain. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Samar Ali Khan said that statements against any institution of the country are against the Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan. He said that PTI would put forth a resolution against MQM along with other parliamentary parties. He said that proposing anyone to use coercive methods is treason.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Shafi Jamot said that investigations must be done over Zulfiqar Mirza’s statements. His statements for sure hold something of great value, he added.

Muslim League-Functional’s Nusrat Sahar said that the party would favour any resolution against Altaf Hussain. She said that Hussain’s statement has nothing new as he keeps on talking about dividing the province every now and then.
