LAHORE: (Web Desk, Dunya News) – In a strong reaction to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s statement in which he asked for help from Indian intelligence agency RAW, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday said that no Pakistani could have used such words for army. He said that Mahajirs were let down by Altaf’s statement, reported Dunya News.
Reacting to Altaf’s statement, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif demanded apology from the MQM chief. He said that Altaf Hussain had hurt Pakistanis’ sentiments by requesting help from RAW. He said that Altaf’s statement was equivalent to treason and he must apologize for his statement.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that the words used by Altaf Hussain could not be used by any Pakistani. He said that MQM chief should not have used words that are used by enemies of the country.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that the national security agencies are doing an indiscriminate operation against the criminal elements and criticism on them is equivalent to backing those criminal elements.
