Summary Intense slogans were raised against the government while blocking the Abdali Road.
MULTAN (Dunya News) – Various labour unions took out rally in Multan today (Friday) on the occasion of Labour Day and chanted slogans in favour of their rights, Dunya News reported.
According to details, a large number of labour union leaders’ and workers were present in the rally taken out from Nawa Chowk to Press Club.
The protesters were carrying placards and banners on which demands of labourers were written.
Intense slogans were raised against the government while blocking the Abdali Road. The protesters were of the view that the government is exploiting the labourers instead of providing them with economic benefit as pay increment is much less than the inflation rate whereas EOBI pension is also been paid very less.
They protesters demanded that government should pass a bill regarding the economic security of labourers on Labour Day to safeguard the rights of labourers.
