Summary Judicial commission was formed as per legal requirements, the govt's lawyer said.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – The federal government has filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking dismissal of all petitions submitted against formation of judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in 2013 general elections, Dunya News reported.
Lawyer for the government informed court that the judicial commission has been formed as per legal requirements whereas an ordinance was issued regarding this on the recommendation of the Ministry of Law and Justice.
He further argued that appeal against the JC can be filed in IHC or the Supreme Court of Pakistan but the LHC does not have authority to hear these petitions.
