Summary Khawaja had died by the time the body reached the hospital, says Emergency ward incharge
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Station House Officer (SHO) Ejaz Khawaja of Paredi Police Station on Thursday has been killed by miscreants on Defense Korangi Road near Kala Pul in a firing incident.
Earlier, in the last one and a half years, two other SHOs of Paredi Police Station were killed.
According to the police, SHO Khawaja was on way to the police station from his house when near Kala Pul unidentified miscreants opened fire on the car and killed him. More than four bullets hit the car from the front and sides.
The SHO was hit on head and chest due to which he was killed on the spot. According to the details, SHO’s car hit another car and ended up on the footpath after firing. The police reached the crime site after learning about the news and shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital. Emergency Ward incharge, Seemi Jamali said that Khawaja had died by the time the body reached the hospital.
Late Khawaja s wife has refused autopsy to be done of the body.
It must be mentioned here that earlier, inspector Ghazanfar Kazmi of the police station was killed on the same road by target killers. Moreover, inspector Asad Sheikh was killed at least one and a half years ago by firing of his own policeman.
