Summary DIG Malir Dr Amir Ali Sheikh is leading the JIT
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Joint investigation team (JIT) on Wednesday is investigating death row convict, former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member and activist, Saulat Mirza.
According to the details, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Malir Dr Amir Ali Sheikh is leading the JIT. The team comprises of Crime Investigation Department (CID) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Usman Bajwa, Special Security SSP Munir.
Security has been tightened inside and outisde the jail in light of the heightened sensitivity of the issue.
Earlier, Mirzas execution was put to a halt in light of his quite serious accusations on MQM chief chief Altaf Hussain. In a video statement before his execution which was postponed later on, he said that MQM chief was handler of several target killings in the city.
