Summary PTI has filed an application to District Commissioner’s office to hold a rally in Shahrah-e-Pakistan

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rangers have sought CCTV cameras  from Interior Minister on Tuesday for the coming by-elections. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed an application for rally at Shahrah-e-Pakistan on 19 April while Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has announced a rally for women on 17 April.

A letter sent by Rangers to Interior Ministry has demanded deployment of CCTV in polling stations, polling booth and sensitive buildings for NA-246 by-elections.

PTI has filed an application to District Commissioner’s office to hold a rally in Shahrah-e-Pakistan.

The application states that adequate security should be provided to the rally.

An application for the security of Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi and Aziz Afridi has also been filed to Inspector General Sindh.

In another development, JI Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem Al-Rahman has said that a women’s rally will be held on 17 April at Shahrah-e-Pakistan.

Hafiz Naeem Al-Rahman said that NA-246 election has become the election of the whole city and not of just one area.

Commenting on JI’s electorate, he said that JI does not need to bring voters from outside the area to secure its position.
