ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – National Assembly Secretariat has finalized paperwork for payment of salaries to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers who returned to parliament after boycott of nearly eight months, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
According to sources, total payment is estimated to be around Rs12.636 million and each member will get Rs469,000.
PTI legislators returned to Parliament on Monday after a boycott of nearly eight months as the government accepted Imran Khan`s demand of a judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in the 2013 general election.
The party had boycotted parliament and occupied part of the capital during months-long street protests last year over alleged election rigging.
