Summary PTI leader Imran Ismail thanked MQM for welcoming his party in Karachi.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Imran Ismail, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for NA-246 by-election, has said that he is thankful to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for welcoming his party but they do not need help from any party.
“Thankful to MQM for welcoming PTI, but we didn t seek any help, nor need help from MQM,” Imran Ismail told reporters in Karachi.
He said that Chairman PTI Imran Khan will hold corner meetings in different areas of NA-246 constituency today.
On Wednesday, MQM chief Altaf Hussain asked his party workers to desist from any action that could become a cause of a conflict.
“If any conflict can be avoided by remaining quiet and moving away from a place, MQM workers should feel no shame in it,” he said.
Altaf Hussaid said: “If even our worst enemy comes to our home, we should welcome him and refrain from any action that might result in dispute.”
He asked MQM workers to show patience and remain united.
Prepartions for by-election in NA-246 constituency of Karachi are in full swing and members of both parties are fully active in election campaign. PTI has fielded Imran Ismail whereas MQM has named Kanwar Naveed Jamil as their candidates for the election.
Polling would take place on April 23.
