KARACHI (Dunya News) – Imran Khan said on Wednesday that NA-246 elections are of utmost importance and vowed to dispel the atmosphere of fear in the city, reported Dunya News.

Talking to a press conference, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan said that in the past, fear had been used to control the people of Karachi but PTI would do away with any fear that might be used for personal motives.

Imran Khan said that his party does not want any conflict or crisis in the city and alleged that rotten tommattoes and eggs had been readied for his arrival.

The PTI Chairman vowed to go to Jinnah Ground and offer prayers on the graves of martyrs adding that he is ready to face any consequences.

Imran Khan said that if his party faced any attack then they would launch a case against MQM leader Altaf Hussain, currently residing in London adding that a legal team had been formed to deal with such a situation.

Imran Khan appreciated Altaf Hussain’s statement as the latter welcomed him to Karachi.

Prior to the press conference, media boycotted Imran Khan’s press conference on maltreatement of the press workers by PTI workers. The boycott, however was shortlived as PTI leaders intervened to make truce among the parties.

Imran Khan apologised to the media for the incident.
