KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate on Karachi’s NA 246 constituency Kanwar Naveed on Sunday said that the people were provoked by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) alleged foul language. He said if the Election Commission deploys army or Rangers for transparent elections then his party will not object to it.

Talking to the media after attending a meeting regarding NA 246 by-election code of conduct at Commissioner House Karachi, Naveed said that it is Election Commission’s prerogative to deploy or not to deploy army or Rangers in the constituency for transparent election.

He said MQM chief Altaf Hussain is in heartbeats of people of Karachi and PTI should not insult the people of Karachi.

He said PTI is not Karachi’s well-wisher, alleging that PTI contested 2013 election with the help of Taliban.

MQM candidate said MQM doesn’t have any kind of fear, adding that if transparent elections take place then PTI will only get 10 to 12 thousand votes.
