KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh on Wednesday has refused to hold hearing of the plea seeking Ajmal Pahari’s, killer of dozens of people, transference to Karachi jail from Sukkur.
Pahari’s wife, Fouzia submitted a plea in the SHC. Fouzia’s counsel said that Pahari was granted bail three months ago while the bail pleas in several other cases are under hearing. It is difficult for his client to go to Sukkur to visit her husband, he added.
Justice Sheikh remarked whether Fouzai’s counsel was asking the court to shift Pahari to Karachi so that he could restructure his network. The judge further said that the court does not want increase in Karachi’s crime rate.
