LAHORE (Dunya News) – The pleasant change in the weather due to recent rains has resulted in a power shortfall cut limiting it to 3,500 Megawatt (MW) while the duration of unannounced outages have also shrunk.
According to the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) sources, a significant de-escalation could be witnessed in the shortfall in connection with the rains in the upper parts of the country and Punjab. The present demand of electricity and supply maintain at 13,200 MW and 9,700 MW respectively.
The duration of unannounced electricity outages has also decreased.
However, at least eight-hour long outages are being carried out in rural while six-hour long in urban areas.
