KARACHI (Dunya News) -- Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said on Tuesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wants to win elections on the basis of brute force. He further added that the incident of Jinnah ground had proved PTI s intentions, reported Dunya News.
Talking to the media during an emergency press conference, Haider Abass Rizvi said that he condemns the alleged acts of vandalism committed by Imran Ismail and his followers.
The MQM leader alleged that Imran Ismail along with his workers arrived suddenly at Jinnah Park and said that the PTI workers allegedly hurled abuses while standing at the graves of the MQM workers while tearing apart portraits of Altaf Hussain present at site.
Haider Abbas Rizvi told the media that Imran Rizvi and PTI workers made their way to Karachi Press Club where they forcibly conducted a press conference.
MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said that participation in elections is the basic right of every party adding PTI s recent show of power was uncalled for and highlighted their real intent of ‘forcing’ through way through elections.
He said that the true spirit of democracy lies not in elections but in winning the hearts of the electorate.
Haider Abbas Rizvi said that NA-246 is the heart of MQM and they face no danger in the area.
He urged the government to formulate a code of conduct so that incidents of the sort do not occur again and implored Election Commission and authorities to play their role duly.
