Summary "Crackdowns will be conducted on daily basis": DIG Operations
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Captain (R) Ameen Vais and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Dr. Haider Ashraf ordered all Divisional Superintendents of Police (SP) to conduct crackdowns in regards to implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).
From 9th January to the present date, 859 cases of loud speaker violations, selling literature or CD’s that spread religious hatred, wall chalking and open exhibition of ammunition have been registered. 1347 cases have been registered on the basis of Rental Ordinance.
Speaking on this occasion, DIG Operations stated that no violation in regards to NAP will be tolerated. He stated that individuals involved in violations of loud speakers, ammunition exhibition, wall chalking and spreading religious hatred and other illegal activities shall be dealt with severely.
He advised that in this regard all SP’s should conduct search operations in their areas. He ordered that such crackdowns will be conducted on daily basis. No leniency shall be given to anyone in this regard.
