RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The hearing of Ayyan Ali’s plea for attainment of Class-B in jail adjourned without any proceedings today (Thursday) in Rawalpindi, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the hearing of the plea, filed in special customs court, was to be held today but was adjourned without any proceedings as the judge Mumtaz Hussain Chaudhary was on a leave.
Moreover the hearing will now be conducted on March 28.
Earlier, renowned supermodel Ayyan Ali was arrested on March 14 and sent on a 14-day judicial remand to Adiala Jail by a local court for allegedly smuggling foreign currency worth millions of rupees overseas at Benazir International Airport in Islamabad.
The accused filed an application for the attainment of Class-B in the jail for which custom court asked the jail authorities to submit a reply in this regard, however; the authorities in a written reply stated that as the supermodel is detained on judicial remand, she is not entitled to B-class facilities.
The supermodel is currerntly being kept in Adiala Jail.
