ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chauhdry Nisar on Wednesday held a meeting with British High Commissioner Philip Barton in Islamabad.

During the meeting, both exchanged views on country’s political situation and reviewed matter pertaining to a case filed against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain under the Anti-Terrorism Act, sources told.

According to sources, the Interior Minister also shared details and reasons of the case with Philip Barton.

Earlier on Tuesday, a case was registered against Altaf Hussain on complaint of Rangers for allegedly threatening the law enforcement personnel and issuing insulting remarks during a telephonic address from London.

The charges are related to comments made by the MQM chief after paramilitary rangers raided his party`s offices where they seized a huge quantity of weapons and arrested activists, including one accused of murdering journalist Wali Babar.
