KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Wednesday has demanded Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to take immediate notice of the siege and search operation and arrests of the party members at Nine-Zero by the Pakistan Rangers.
MQM coordination committee said that the Rangers damaged party property including computers and television sets. The Rangers also disconnected telephone line and cameras. The committee members said that the Nine-Zero area was cordoned off and raided.
The members also said that different departments of the headquarters were raided. They said that a raid was also carried out at MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s house.
While talking to Dunya News, MQM coordination committee member Dr Farooq Sattar said that the party is being stopped from its service to the people in accordance with a conspiracy. MQM was the first party to demand an operation against target killers and militants in Karachi because the party wants peace in the city, he added.
Coordination committee’s spokesperson Mustafa Aziz Abadi said that Amir Khan, Abdul Haseeb Khan and Dr Ayub have been arrested by the Rangers along with several others.
