ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday said that the Muslim Ummah needs harmony and unity to deal with multidimensional security challenges, Dunya News reported.

Addressing to 6th Think Tank Forum of Islamic Countries, Hussain said the Muslim world today faces both conventional and unconventional security challenges. He said terrorism, religious extremism, sectarianism, safety and environmental pollution are some of the unconventional challenges that have emerged in the recent decade.

President said that these challenges are a threat to the real concept of the Muslim Ummah which can potentially lead to destabilization in the world.

He said Pakistan has always played role towards resolving problems faced by the Muslim Ummah. President Mamnoon also thanked the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) members for endorsing Pakistan’s stance for the rights of Kashmiris.
