KARACHI (Dunya News) – In spite of a military operation being waged for almost a year, residents of Karachi are being subjected to target killing, extortion and the situation of law and order is looking gloomy at the moment. Protesting against the same, traders of Lyari have taken to the streets to protest against the current situation by taking out a rally.
The rally reached press club by way of Lyari, I.I. Chundrigar Road and Art Council.

Although no representative from the government came out to redress the grievances of the rally yet leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Muhammad Hussain Mehnati joined the ranks of the crowd after a while.
Hussain Mehnati said that peace should be established in Lyari otherwise he will join protestors for a sit-in outside Sindh assembly.
The protestors gave the government an ultimatum of one week, saying it should take firm action against target killings and extortions otherwise they will launch protests all over Sindh.
