HAFIZABAD (Dunya News) – Executive District Officer (EDO) Health Dr Aslam Shaheen on Wednesday suspended the lab attendant of District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital, Farooq, for allegedly giving adulterated blood to a five-year old Huzaifa, Dunya News reported.

On the report of Dunya News, Provincial Health Minister Khwaja Salman Rafique took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from EDO Health.

According to the report of inquiry committee made by the medical superintendent (MS) DHQ Hospital, the lab attendant gave impure blood bag to the child’s parents for RS 1500.

Moreover, the lab attendant had previously been suspended many times for selling degraded blood.

On the other hand, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Hafizabad has appointed Assistant Commissioner Umar Farooq Warraich as the inquiry officer to investigate the matter whereas according to EDO Health, further investigation was underway regarding the case.
