KARACHI (Dunya News) - Weather turned cold after heavy rain lashed in Sadar, Nazimabad, Rizvia Colony, Shahrah-e-Faisal and airport areas of Karachi, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
Heavy rain caused water to pool up in various areas causing problems for the people however; suspended power supply has been restored after rain in various areas of the metropolis.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), 3mm rain in PAF Base Faisal, 2mm in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, airport and PAF Base Masroor, 1mm in Landhi whereas nominal amount of rain was recorded in Sadar whereas rain will continue to pour in the next 24 hours.
Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon visited various areas after the rain to review the working of water drainage from the roads and directed the city administration to make arrangements for water drainage by allocating all the resources on emergency basis.
Moreover, a state of emergency has been imposed in the city to avoid any possible threat.
