ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A parliamentary leaders meeting of all the political parties, presided by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, was held today (Friday) in Islamabad to discuss various suggestions to end horse trading in the Senate elections, Dunya News reported.

PM while addressing the parliamentary leaders said that buying vote in Senate elections is like bargaining for conscience.

He said that senate elections are closely related to electoral reforms and he considers the business of buying and selling votes illegal.

The PM stressed that all the political parties should work together to end horse trading in the elections.

Moreover, he stated that it is the collective duty of all the political parties to preserve and enhance the sanctity of Senate.
