KARACHI (Dunya News) – Suspected extortionists today (Friday) left a threat letter outside a shop within limits of Kharadar Police Station, warning the shop owner of severe consequences if he tried to reopen the shop. The police have traced the mobile phone location of the extortionists
Unknown suspects had locked the front shutter of the shop in Paan Mandi Steel Market area and placed a chit early Friday morning after the shopkeeper refused to pay extortion.
The shopkeeper was warned of severe consequences if he tried to break the lock. A contact number was also left on the chit.
Meanwhile, police have arrived at the scene and launched investigation into the incident. The police have found that a phone call was made from Lyari Cheel Chowk.

Other shops were closed in the market in protest against the incident. The protestors demanded protection and action against the culprits.
The protest ended after SSP City Aftab Nizamani assured protection to the traders and directed to deploy additional policemen in the market.
