Summary Police immediately came into action after CM's notice.

FAISALABAD (Dunya news) – A man was killed on Friday in Dhudi Wala area of Faislabad by firing of a person celebrating Basant. Kite flying has been banned in Punjab. But the ban was not paid any heed to in Faisalabad. The sky was filled with colorful kites while noise of the festivities was its peak. The youth in Mansoorabad, Madina Town, Peoples Colony and Nishatabad was pumped with the spirit of the festival to an extreme extent. Aerial firing was also carried out in some areas. 28 year old Mohammad Hussain standing on the roof top was struck by a bullet which proved to be a fatal injury.


According to the details, the police did not reach the scene of the crime on time even after it was informed. It was only after Dunya news informed of the incident that Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the event. The police immediately came into action after CM’s notice.


Police officials searched every house and arrested the culprit Mohammad Ali. A gun was confiscated from the suspect. Further suspects were also arrested in this regard.
