LORALAI (Dunya News) – As many as 19 labourers on Thursday were trapped under the rubble after the roof of a coal mine in District Duki of Loralai caved in, Dunya News reported on Friday.
One of the workers died on the spot whereas Levies officers and workers were able to rescue 11 labourers while eight of them were injured.
Duki, despite producing business worth billions of rupees, remained devoid of basic rescue services whereas the hospital lacks facilities.
Rescue, therefore, had to be called from Quetta that reached the site of incident at 1 am whereas the remaining seven labourers have not yet been rescued after 22 hours.
