Summary PIMS hospital's cardiology department chief got critically injured in gun attack on Saturday.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday announced Rs10 crore for the treatment of senior doctor of PIMS hospital, who was shot and critically wounded by unidentified attackers on Saturday evening, Dunya News reported.
Dr Shahid Nawaz, the head of hospital’s cardiology department, will be taken abroad for medical treatment on the directives of the prime minister.
The announcement came two days after Young Doctors’ Association announced to boycott Outdoor Patient Departments (OPDs) in protest against the incident.
