ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime accused of Mumbai terror case Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi’s detention was extended by a month on Friday, Dunya News reported.

The notification in this regard has already been issued.

According to the details, the police had sought one month extension in Lakhvi’s detention. Interim Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Mushtaq Ahmed has reportedly received orders to extend Lakhvi’s detention for one month, the formal notification of which has already been issued.

It merits mentioning here that the administration of Adyala Jail had alerted Islamabad police of expiration of Lakhvi’s detention.

Lakhvi’s detention has been extended twice before and it was supposed to end on February 14 but has again been extended.
