Summary PTI workers stormed into CPO's office and registered protest
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) -- In connection with the November 8th tragedy of Novelty Bridge, members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had been arrested by the authorities for which the local leadership of PTI demanded their immediate release, earlier today.
PTI member provincial assembly (MPA) Sheikh Khurram and the local leadership protested in front of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation’s office and offered their arrest.
The protesting crowd was joined by the lawyers but the police, instead of arresting them, closed the doors of the premises.
PTI workers also stormed into CPO’s office and registered protest as well.
SSP Operations commented that police investigation is ongoing and all matters will be striclty dealt in accordance with the law.
PTI workers have alleged that police is siding with the offenders of the Novelty Bridge incident. The workers further added that they would be clad in coffin clothing on Friday and would offer their arrests in front of Samnabad Police Station.
