ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Advisior to Prime Minister for foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz addressed a seminar in National Defence University.
During his speech, Sartaj Aziz stated that India had abandoned Kashmir talks when Pakistan stretched its hand for the desire of negotiations. The ruse employed from the other side of the border, he said, had invoked condemnation from around the globe.
The advisor to the Prime Minister said that any plan to change the status of Kashmir would worsen the situation between the two countries.
He said that unprovoked firing by India on working border and Line of Control (LOC) had unveiled the malevolent intent on India’s part. Sartaj Aziz said that India’s veiled threats in its statements revealed a resolve to create an atmosphere of war-mongering.
He added that India’s nefarious activities in the region were creating hurdles in the ongoing Zarb-e-Azab.
He implored America to play its role in maintaining peace in the region.
