Summary Lahore police arrested 8 kite-flyers on Sunday and confiscated thousands of kites and spools
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Lahore police cracked down on the kite-flyers on Sunday and arrested 8 people, reported Dunya News. Police confiscated thousands of kites and spools of strings as well.
Despite ban on kite-flying in Lahore, kites continue to beautify the sky. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the matter and ordered strict action.
The arrested suspects said that they liked flying kites and would go out of the city to enjoy it but police arrested them at check-points.
It is pertinent to mention here that Basant was a popular festival of Lahore but later the government had to ban the festival as lots of people lost their lives to dangerous string.
