Summary JIT report made shocking revelations; the factory gate was locked from outside, tells report
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report, presented before the court on February 6, has made some shocking revelations regarding the Baldia Town incident. According to the sources, Rizwan Qureshi, the principal accused in the case, also had the contract for providing labour to the factory and had provided more than one hundred workers to the factory.
According to the report, when the fire brigade arrived at the factory on receiving the information, it was locked from outside. Fire brigade staff broke into the factory by breaking the lock.
JIT report says that suspicions arose in view of the factory being locked from outside but the case was ruined because of the incompetence of police’s investigation officer. Sources claim that the investigative officer removed the name of the factory-owners from the report on his own, upon which the senior officers were offended.
