ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Wednesday clarified that the opposition did not demand anyone’s resignation over the terror incidents in Pakistan but only objected that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should have visited Shikarpur district after imambargah tragedy, Dunya News reported.
Speaking in the National Assembly, the senior PPP leader stated that the country is plagued by terrorism for the last 14 years, thus, the opposition did not demand any official’s resignation but the premier should have visited Shikarpur after recent terror incident.
At least 57 people were killed and dozens got injured when a suicide bomber targeted an imambargah in Lakhidar area of Shikarpur during Friday prayers. The number of deaths soared due to unavailability of facilities and medical staff at civil hospitals in the district.
Giving remarks on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s statement, the opposition leader stated that the minister has claimed that only finger of the suspected suicide attacker was found.
Other body parts of the attacker were shown to us as well, he added.
