ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – As part of government’s National Action Plan, security forces have stepped up anti-terrorism actions.
Six suspected militants belonging to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were arrested during raids in different areas of the federal capital on Tuesday.
The search operation was conducted in Shehzad Town, Tarnol and Bara Kahu areas.
According to sources, arrested suspects belong to the TTP Mohmand Agency who were planning a terrorist attack in the city. They were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
The government formulated National Action Plan against terrorism in the wake of Taliban attack on Army Public School in Peshawar that claimed lives of more than 150 people.
Hundreds of suspected terrorists have been arrested in different areas since then.
