Summary APDA's Abdul Qadir Achakzai faced defeat by securing only 14 votes
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) leader Dr Kaleemullah was elected as Quetta Mayor by securing 54 votes on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
All Parties Democratic Alliance’s Abdul Qadir Achakzai faced defeat by securing only 14 votes while Naeem Bazai was elected as Chairman District Council Quetta and Asmatullah as Vice Chairman of the same.
Meanwhile, Sardar Akbar Sheikh was elected as Chairman of Lasbela District and Qadir Bakhsh as Vice Chairman unchallenged.
Nawabzada Mir and Aurangzeb Alamgir Magsi also secured unchallenged chairmanship of Jhal Magsi district whereas Safdar Ali Shah was elected vice chairman of the same.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Mir Amjad Ali Khan Khoso was elected as Chairman while Fahad Khan as Vice Chairman of the Suhbat Pur District Council.
In Dera Bugti, PML-N’s Mir Ghulam Nabi Shambani was elected as Chairman of the district council whereas Mir Shah Murad Musawari as Vice Chairman unopposed.
