Summary Clerics directed to manage their own security as police will be recalling the protection provided.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police officials ordered to withdraw the security provided to the religious clerics whereas the security officers have also been notified to recall the protection while the relevant officers were advised to submit a report.
According to the police, ulema were asked to manage their own security from now onwards as the protection, the police have been providing them, would be pulled.
Ulema have expressed grave reservations and have asked the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to take notice on this new predicament saying it the responsibility of the state to provide protection to them. The state should instead ensure their safety, they added.
