TANK (Web Desk) – Shutter down strike is being observed on second day against prolonged power outages in Tank District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
Authorities have imposed section 144 in the district a day after enraged mob torched office of the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) in protest against 20-hour long power outages.
At least 15 people were injured when police used force to disperse the crowd. Meanwhile, police have arrested 72 protestors during raids in different areas.
Amid ongoing shutter down strike, educational institutes remained closed while anti-measles campaign was suspended across the district.
